Re: [formula1-54] Next race

The whole thing sounds great we (my fiance and I) just do not have the environment for it.

I was hoping to find a pub-type location to meed and watch the race;  the times for the races make that a bit difficult.  Nevertheless I never have a problem watching a race at 12:30 am or 6:30 am, but that is not public-venue friendly.

Thoughts from anyone else?

Just wanted to let you all know that these emails do indeed go to everyone who signed up for the group, and acts as kind of a listserv.  Putting up a message on the message boards does the same thing (because Meetup will email members saying, "there's a new message on the message boards") with two exceptions: the message boards allow people to see the history of the discussion (I know most people delete messages once they've read them) and non-members who want to join our group could also read them.

My husband tapes the practice, Q, and race for every event, and watches them at a reasonable hour.  We would love to host the first race watching event, except his parents are visiting next weekend, and the aged ones aren't so much into motorsports!  Does anyone else want to volunteer, or perhaps you could wait for the following one?

I will post this message on the message boards as well in case there are lurkers out there thinking about joining.

Cheers,
Jenka

Hey John,

thanks for the email.  But if you want to send it to
everybody in the group, suggestion: post a "New
Discussion".  Cannot wait for the race, the track is
crazy (not as bad as Nurburg-ring, but hey, we'll take
it!:-) Any plans about where we can watch it as a
group, you know, beer and the engines loud from
speakers?
(also, I think that Sunday's the 8th-and I'll still be
without cable till that following week :-(   ...just
moved.

Thanks,
Monica
