Atlanta Gallifreyans Annual Christmas Party

The Atlanta Gallifreyans Annual Christmas Potluck and Party will take place on
December 8th at 6:30pm, at St. Edwards Episcopal Church in Lawrenceville.

Let me be the first to say that I do understand that Lawrenceville isn't exactly
the most convenient location, especially for those who live on the west or south
sides of Atlanta or for those who are dependent upon MARTA. We did the best we
could, and hopefully between all of us we shall be able to arrange for people to
share rides for those otherwise unable to get to Lawrenceville.

As with all our Christmas parties, this is a potluck so if you'd share what you
are bringing, please post it here or, if you prefer, you can also post that
information on the Yahoo or Facebook pages. Don't worry, we'll be keeping
track of who is bringing what. Also important, if you are able to give someone
a ride, please post that here as well.

Nickelson Hall, where we will be meeting features a full kitchen set-up, in case
you need to heat something up. Of course, we'll be enjoying some great Doctor
Who entertainment as well, to be announced shortly.

Just a quick update, if you need more specific directions than what' included, please leave a message here today (Friday) and I'll get back to you. I'll be at work on Saturday during the day, and unable to leave messages regarding directions.

Regarding entertainment, we never have a set schedule for the Christmas party but we will be listening to some Big Finish audio plays, and perhaps air a Christmas special from years past. If you have a favorite Big Finish audio, bring it along as we might just listen to it!

      Big Finish? What's that?

Big Finish is a shorthand name for the Doctor Who full-cast audio plays featuring the actors from the show. They are produced by a company called Big Finish, hence the name. We'll be listening to an Eight Doctor audio adventure at our January meeting, in addition to watching the new Christmas special The Snowmen.

By the by, Nicole, sorry you couldn't make it this week. Hopefully, you'll be able to visit us next weekend at our regular meeting.

We had fifteen members show up for our annual party this year. A lot of good food and fun, with a couple of Sarah Jane and Doctor Who audios being played in the background. Unlike our regular meetings, the Annual Christmas party was a chance for everyone to simply hang out and socialize.
