PRESENTATION: When VueJS and Laravel coexist magic happens. An introduction to Devise 2

Presentation by Gary Williams, CEO and co-founder at LogicBomb Media

With Devise, you can marry two of the best solutions for JavaScript and PHP to create a highly customizable, multi-tenant content management solutions. Quickly setup new content managed areas of content and controls to change up the display on the fly, and reorder parts of the page with drag and drop, all resulting in a product that is more malleable by your designers, content managers, and much more enjoyable for developers to iterate.

During this talk, we will show you how Devise allows you to leverage VueJS and Laravel together, by showcasing a few very fun site demos that look awesome, but also demonstrate how we can power rich JavaScript applications from the database that are managed by your clients in a slick UI.

About Gary: I have been a PHP developer for about 18 years. In 2007, I started a web development company focused on marketing websites and Flash applications. (I'm that old). Today, my company focuses on retained clients and we occasionally take on new clients that are focused on larger marketing campaigns. The technologies that we use day-to-day are primarily PHP (specifically, Laravel), Javascript (typically, VueJS), Swift, and Java. I live in Roswell GA where my girlfriend and I are attempting to tame four insane kids.

New Meeting Feature: Open Spaces! We're going to continue with a new discussion format among attendees. Please come with some questions or discussion topics in mind. The group will vote on suggestions and we'll cover things, based on interest, in a rotating panel style. Come share your expertise!

Map Link: (parking deck entrance, 600 building is due north of the deck)

SPECIAL NOTE: There will be a Braves game on this night, so there will be people monitoring the parking deck entrances. You will need to say you are coming to a meeting at ShootProof to be allowed to park (and also mention it to building security, as always.) It is best to arrive no later than 7pm.
