I had a few questions about the classes:

  • Are workstations provided or do we need to bring our own notebook?
  • Are there more classes? I did not see any on the Meetup calendar, but the email invite said they were every other week.
  • Do the classes build on each other? That is, if I miss one class, will I be lost in subsequent classes?

Thank you! I'm looking forward to my first Ruby class. (I occasionally have to work Saturdays, so unfortunately I will miss the first class)

David,

In answer to your questions:

- You'll need to bring your own laptop or netbook. Outlets shouldn't be an issue.

- We'll be meeting every other Saturday, with the exception of holidays, until next May. Announcements go out a week or two before the meeting.

- Sometimes, but there is a Google group, http://groups.google...., where you can usually get a copy of the presentation or ask questions

The first couple of meetings will be learning Ruby focused. After that we'll be going into the demo app that is covered in the book. So if you have to miss a class, you can simply do the book work and keep up with the class.

Are you referring to "Agile Web Development with Rails, 4th edition"?
