Okay everyone, so this time around, we're gonna check out the "Movies With a View" at Brooklyn Bridge Park! For anyone that hasn't been to Brooklyn Bridge Park yet, you've been missing out. It's a beautiful, clean park with an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. Every year, they show weekly outdoor movies throughout the summer.
On Thursday, July 11th we'll be meeting up to check out the classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off! Showtime starts at sunset, so we'll be meeting up a bit earlier [at 7:30] to chill out get a decent area to sit. The DJ's from Brooklyn Radio will also be spinning some pre-movie music to enjoy while we wait.
Here's what they say about the event on the Brooklyn Bridge Park website (http://www.brooklynbridgepark.org/news/press-releases/syfy-present-syfy-movies-with-view):
"Syfy Movies With a View is a wonderful New York City summer tradition,” said Michael Engleman, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Global Brand Strategy, Syfy and Chiller. “Timeless movies under the stars with a breathtaking view of the city is a terrific way to spend an evening. Syfy believes it’s important to support local events within a community and we’re delighted to partner once again with Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy to offer this summer treat to New Yorkers and visitors alike.”
Looking forward to seeing you guys there!
