About Te Miro

The Te Miro MTB park is a smallish trail network, but well designed, built and maintained by the Te Miro MTB club. It is between Cambridge and Morrinsville - about 150km from Auckland, so close enough for a day trip from Auckland and there is at least 3-4 hours of riding to make it worth the trip. There are trails from grade 2 to grade 4.

What to expect

We will be meeting at the Te Miro Mountain Bike car park. You should aim to arrive at a time that allows you to get ready to ride by 10am. It is a good idea to try and car pool where possible since the car park is relatively small. Post comments below to offer, accept or request rides.

Depending on the size of the group we may break into 2 or more groups of similar skill/fitness levels. Each group will stop to regroup at intersections and at the start and end of all trails.

What to bring

Bring enough water for about 3-4 hours of riding. Bring snacks to keep energy levels up.
Lunch - we will keep riding till 1:30/2PM-ish, taking small rest & snack breaks, then meet for lunch back at the picnic tables just below the car park.
EITHER: Bring a packed lunch.
OR: We will use their built-in BBQ. BYO food & drink. Post comments below if you can bring items for the group e.g. BBQ utensils.

Spare tube, pump, tools etc., are always a good thing to carry on any ride...
