A Real Pain (USA, 2024)

A couple of miss-matched cousins team up to retrace the life of their grandmother in Poland and old tensions surface as their discover their family history.

Kieran Culkin won the Oscar for best actor in a supporting role.

The Australian reviewer said: "[Keiran Culkin] is remarkable from the opening scene to the final moment."

The Sunday Times (UK) wrote: "The film is one of those elegant, odd-couple two-handers, elevated by pithy, resonant writing, which used to be a Hollywood mainstay, and Culkin is fabulous as the weed-smoking Benji."
