In hind sight it would have been better for us to sit at the bigger table as that was the only place the group could talk. We really only got to talk to you and to ourselves so we didn't get to share anything with the group at all. From my 2 previous experiences, the roof top BBQ I think was a far better type venue. if you want all the gang to be able to get together, be able to hear each other, and be able to discuss things in common or to share the group's experiences, the Folk House was probably not the best place. If you want a place just to go to and drink for an hour or 2 then the Folk House fitted the bill well. I think for expats to get together it should be for all to learn something and to share things for everyone's benefit - like places to go, things to see, things to do, experiences within NYC and outside, accommodation, banking; quite simply everything we have all faced when arriving in a new place and knowing nothing.
