The Grand Budapest Hotel

  • Mar 20, 2014 · 7:15 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Let's meet up for drinks/snacks beforehand at the 400 Rabbits Happy Hour (adjacent to Alamo Drafthouse) and then check out the film! I'll be at 400 Rabbits by 6pm. We can enter the theater beginning at 6:45.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of the most pretigious and decadent hotels in the world. Sitting in The Alps The Grand Budapest is run by Gustave H., the legendary conceirge.

Wes Anderson's first script as the lone writer follows Gustave and his trusted Lobby Boy, Moustafa as they become part of a plot that includes murder, the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune.

Anderson's usual penchant for the visually stunning and whimsical is matched by a brilliant cast that include Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Jude Law, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman and so many more.

Any way there will be seating room at 400
    Rabbits?

    March 19, 2014

    • Doray

There are some seats at the bar but it's first come first serve, and so I can't say for sure if any will be available.

      March 20, 2014

    • Doray

Folks are certainly welcome to sit outside if they desire. It is up to each person to decide where they want to sit/stand.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Again, I will be at the adjacent bar (400 Rabbits) around 6pm and we will enter the theater around 6:45. The showtime is 7:15. The bar has snacks and drinks and the theater also serves food/beverages before and during the movie. If you haven't bought tickets yet, you may want to do so online in advance. Tickets are sold at the door if seats are available. I just checked and there are a few scatted single seats and more double seats/wider in the front rows. See you then!

Do we buy tickets at the door, or purchase them in advance?

    March 17, 2014

    • Doray

I suggest buying them in advance. We have a lot of people attending it looks like!
