Varta will feature South-Asian artists, writers and storytellers at the Ann Arbor District Library (downtown).
Oral storytelling from South-Asia: The festival will launch an exhibit of oral storytelling techniques from South-Asia.
Children’s Storytelling and Activities: Drop-in hands-on story activities! Storytime, interactive dance, coloring, letter writing prompts, Henna, Trivia, and prizes!
Likhawat creative storytelling panel: Authors include Suma Subramaniam, Salma Hussain, Gauri Dalvi, Urmila Bilgi, Shweta Ganesh Kumar, Saadia Faruqi, Upasna Kakroo, Dushyant Wadivkar, and more
Dastangoi: Get ready to enjoy an immersive storytelling performance with a desi folk story from ages ago.
Music and Dance performance: Including Mukta Joshi, and U-M students
