DIY Search Engine Optimization

Creating a gorgeous WordPress website with interesting and helpful content, without understanding how to be found by search engines, is like painting the Mona Lisa and sticking it in your basement.

Faithful blogger/website owner, don't stick your masterpiece in the basement. Join us for a course that unpacks and demystifies the SEO jargon that has always given you a headache, and equips you to get your blog "seen" by search engines and the millions around the world who use them daily to find blogs just like yours.

Good search engine optimization has nothing to do with magic or luck. But it has a lot to do with hard work and consistency. How would you like advertisers to be knocking on your door? This is only one of the benefits of increasing your blog ranking. For more benefits and how to achieve them, come to the Hands-On WordPress meetup.

I'm looking forward to this one! Hopefully Eric will touch on any special considerations for the SEO of a Multisite installation. Does good or bad SEO on one site have any good or bad effect on the other sub domains or the main site? In regards to multisites are there any big gotchas to watch out for or avoid, etc.,etc.

Thanks for a very informative presentation last night Eric. I didn't need coffee to stay awake on the drive back to Brownwood. My mind was buzzing thinking about the things I learned. - Larry

I enjoyed the presentation. It was very informative and easy to follow. I'm a novice user, or rather super newbie user. I'm attempting to use WordPress to build my business webpage so people looking for service can find me locally on the Internet. I’m muddling my way through a crawl, walk, and run process as I attempt to complete my mission. I jumped right into WordPress after the meeting so I wouldn't forget what I learned.
