This event is for anyone who wants to learn more about the autism assessment process - whether you are considering getting assessed, have already been through the process, or are just interested. Psychologist Krystal Culver will outline what to expect during an autism assessment, we will discuss the pros and cons of undergoing an assessment, and APN members who have been diagnosed as adults will share their stories. Come along and ask questions, share your experiences, or simply listen along.

Krystal Culver is a registered Clinical Psychologist here in Palmerston North. She has a background across both secondary mental health services and private practice, reflecting a depth of experience and expertise. Krystal works with children, adolescents and adults experiencing various challenges in their life. A large part of her work in more recent years has been with neurodiverse individuals, both for therapy and assessment.

Krystal understands the confusion individuals may face about autism assessments in particular, and this is a chance to openly discuss questions people may have about the process. Deciding to pursue formal assessment is an individual choice, but if this is something you want to know more about, feel free to come along.

Please note that Krystal is unable to provide individual diagnostic advice in this session.
