ASRG Shop Talk (#FILLTHEFRUNK Toy Drive)

Introducing "Shop Talk", where we speak our minds on the state of vehicle cybersecurity. That means you, too. We'll put out some controversial ideas, and we WELCOME a strong discourse, and we hope you put out some strong opinions too.

Since it's entering holiday season, we'll have some fun stuff to do when we're not arguing - a racing simulator, our Mach E to hack on, and food/drinks provided.

But most importantly, we'll be trying to fill the Mach E with toys to donate to kids for the holidays. Bring a toy to donate, or donate some money for a good cause (Alternatives For Girls, see below)! #FILLTHEFRUNK

Topic: I’m a Vehicle Cybersecurity Expert, Change My Mind

The vehicle cybersecurity space is starting to mature. Naturally, there's a number of people that think they're experts in vehicle cybersecurity - with all sorts of different backgrounds and knowledge sets. At this event, we'll talk about what it means to be a vehicle cybersecurity expert. Expert or not, we want to hear what you think.

Alternatives For Girls (AFG) is a Detroit-based non-profit helping girls and young women who are at-risk or experiencing homelessness avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation since 1987. Originally a small, volunteer-run program, operating out of a five-bed emergency shelter in a neighborhood church, AFG has evolved into a multi-service agency offering our participants services in prevention, shelter, outreach and education services (OES), and early childhood care.
