The AI for Autonomous Mobility meetup is a monthly event by DEEP BERLIN with the purpose of openly gathering people interested and intrigued by autonomous mobility, self driving cars, and robotics.

At every meetup we host an expert from the corporate, research, or startup space for a technical talk and Q&A.

This meetup is a key part of the DEEP BERLIN Robocars Challenge, being the space where teams can get together to discuss their developments and learn from each other, as well as test their vehicles.

18:00 - 19:00 - Walk in - Networking, Bites & Drinks

19:00 - 19:30 - Technical talks:
"Robustness in deep vision"
“If we should poke our code until it breaks, why would deep learning models (that affect mobility systems, no less) get a free pass? We'll see different ways in which to poke, improve and -above all- robustify a vision model before letting it run in production.”
Speaker: Irina Vidal Migallón (Senior CV & AI Engineer at Siemens Mobility GmbH)

“Autonomous systems in Rail”
“The term self-driving, or autonomous, vehicle has been quite popular in the recent years. Very often people imagine only the automobile version of it. How about the rail industry? In fact, more than the vehicles are impacted. Thanks to more advanced sensors and perfected techniques to perceive further, we can speak today about a new era in the field of rail mobility.”
Speaker: Albi Sema (Computer Vision Software Engineer at Siemens Mobility GmbH)

From 19:30 - Networking & Drinks - Time to race and to shed some light on technical details about your approach to self-driving.
