1. Basics of Generative AI models and accelerating your generative AI journey with Amazon Bedrock.

Generative AI, in short known as GenAI, is a buzz word in technology these days. This advancement in AI will transform most business in foreseeable future. This talk is for you if you are new to GenAI and want to get started with it. This talk will start with GenAI fundamentals including its characteristics, use cases, limitations, and challenges. The talk will then cover various ways to customize a GenAI foundation model, which is often a large language model (LLM). The talk will explain the fundamentals of prompt engineering and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) techniques that are used in GenAI powered applications. You will learn how a typical GenAI application works with different integrations and moving parts. You will also learn how Amazon Bedrock can help address different challenges around building GenAI applications. The second half of the talk will cover a demo of building a quick GenAI application using Amazon Bedrock that can work with proprietary documents.

To make it more interesting, this talk will not use any PowerPoint presentation and will use a digital whiteboard to explain the concepts in an interactive manner.
