Well, the movie isn't exactly held inside the Elitch Theatre (http://www.historicelitchtheatre.org/), but close enough. This is a fund-raiser to help renovate the historic theater, so for now the summer movies will be held outside under the stars, but hopefully it will be a beautiful, calm summer evening.
Live Music before the show starts (begins at 7:00 pm)
Movie starts at about 8:30 pm or dusk - The Poseidon Adventure (the original from 1972 and a baby boomer movie if there ever was one - it was one of the first of the "disaster" movies that became so popular in the 1970s. I also remember MAD magazine calling it the "Poop Side Down Adventure. )
Cost- $5 donation IN CASH at the "door" (more if you feel like really helping out a worthy cause)
Bring - a lawn chair, blanket, jacket or sweater, just in case we get a cool evening (rain gear? - hopefully not!)
Food - bring a snack if you want; Food trucks will be on hand and there are other sources of food/beverages nearby, as well.
Other movies will be shown as part of the summer series, so stay tuned for other Friday night specials!
