What Glenn is saying about this Meetup Group

On April 12, 2010 at the Suncadia development (near Rosalyn WA) backpacking team leader Ryan Maloney lead three fiber optical cable engineers down several old logging roads searching in vain for a non-existent effluent pumping station. The weather was partially clear, light wind, air temperature ~38 degrees average altitude 2300 feet ASL. The objective was to connect said pumping station to the Internet for near real time monitoring. It should be noted that the team leader did not employ a map or any navigational tools (were left behind in the truck) but was successful in returning to the trail head after climbing several ridges to make transient coverage cell phone calls.
