this is awesome news for badminton and for NC.

Hello, my name is Dennis Christensen and I am a Danish national who is currently the National Coach of the Swedish Badminton Team. As some will know, I have been to North Carolina every year since 2007 to run badminton training camps. I love NC because I and my guest players have always been treated kindly when I have visited, the badminton community is fantastic, and the weather is much warmer than in Denmark!  Badminton is growing worldwide and the good news is that I am coming back to help grow badminton even more in NC and especially in the Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, and surrounding area.
I plan to open a permanent dedicated badminton hall in the Raleigh/Durham Airport area before mid year 2014. And from what I hear, the timing is perfect!  I know ZX fitness closed a couple of years ago, basketball takes over the recreation centers in the winter and now I understand that Sport 2 Sport is closing the end of this month.  STAY TUNED because I will need your help and YOUR cooperation.  I am really excited to be moving my family to North Carolina and look forward to working with everyone!

This has been a dream of mine for several years and I want all NC badminton players to be able share the dream with us.

Oh and almost forget. Part of the NC facility will be the US Badminton Academy where international players will come to train. Some are already lined up to participate. Think of it as more coaching assistants, and more high level competition
