- Ride at Harris Nature Center
Join us for a balance bike ride on the paved loop at Harris Nature Center. This loop is approximately 1 mile and is great for beginning riders. Pedal bike riders are also welcome and everyone can go at their own pace. More advanced riders can explore additional trails here. Arrive early to play at the Harris Nature Center play area. The ride will start promptly at 6:15. No bathrooms will be open at this time.
- Ride-on toys playdate
Hillbrook Park features a new playground with a tot area and advanced climbing structure, many courts, and a concrete walking path. I'll bring trikes, balance bikes, and any other riding toys I can fit into my car, and you can too! We'll let the kids experiment with them all in the open area of the tennis courts or on the path. Great for little ones new to biking and preschoolers looking to try something new. Any ride-on is welcome--cozy coupes, bikes with training wheels, even push toys.
- Bike @ Beaumont Tower
Bring your young riders to the green at Beaumont tower. If they're just learning on a balance bike, the gradual slope of the long sidewalks is perfect for learning to balance. If they're already on a peddle bike, then they'll love the freedom and you'll love being able to see them wherever they go.
- Spring ride to Hawk Island
Join us for a preschool ride. We will meet at Maguire Park located at the northwest corner of Jolly and Aurelius. This is a free parking area. We can play at the playground here and when everyone has arrived, we will take the paved River Trail to the playground at Hawk Island (approximately 1 mile).
- Balance bike at Anderson Park
Join us at Anderson Park. This is a single track mountain bike area and we'll be doing the northern part on the green trail which is only 0.4 miles but intermediate riding. Proficient pedal bikers are welcome too, but may get ahead of us. Adults are planning to walk. There is also a "playground" here with some hills and wooden obstacles to use. Find us on Wardell Rd. which is a small dirt road off Old Lansing Rd. Please RSVP by Sunday night.
- Snow biking and play
• What we'll do Join us for some fun in the snow at Harris Nature Center! We'll bring our ski Strider and take a loop. Don't have one? Try ours, bring your fat bike, or just pull the kids in a sled. Harris Nature Center also rents cc skis and snowshoes for kids and adults so instead of riding, ski! Either way, we'll take a loop and then experiment with other ways to get around in the snow at the play area. We'll also just play in the snow and visit inside to see turtles and other herps. After, we may go to the Meridian Rd. sledding hill--great for ski Striders and sleds. All ages. • What to bring • Important to know
