This was a great meetup (my first time). The pace was just perfect for me, with pretty easy chords, as I'm not very advanced in my guitar playing. Despite this, there were some others who played really well and I was so happy to be able to play alongside them. Don handled the group very nicely. I really enjoyed myself.

Yee-Haw! Or should I say Ah-Hooooooo! It just gets better and better, Wow! Anyway in answer to my question "How many banjo players does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Only Bill came close. The answer is three, one to screw it in, and two to argue over how Earl would have done it.

It's a no-pressure place to get used to playing with other people. You can do as much or as little as you want.

Don is a great leader. He was very generous in offering everyone a chance to lead or contribute in any way they wanted. He is a terrific singer, and a whale of a guitar player. I could go on, but enough about him, there was a great bunch of people there. I loved seeing the smiles on the faces of people across the way as we all got together on a wailin' chorus. I loved the concentration on the mandolin picker stage right, Mary's total joy as she sang and played, Rob is getting better every week, and then Warren--who made us all howl like werewolves. It was great to see Kate get up and lead a song, and see her generosity.
