                          Stupid Man Suit
                     Mike Lockwood, percussion
                       Max Gualtieri, guitar
                    Matty Harris, baritone sax
                     Ryan Parish, baritone sax
                       Jake Rosenzweig, bass

Stupid Man Suit is "equal parts aggressive rock and free-jazz", a
sound they've dubbed "thrash jazz". Their music has been described
as "unapologetically loud", but they aren't just making noise to
make noise. They've promised to pare things down to an appropriate
level for the house concert, but I'm not exactly sure what they
mean by that -- maybe we should have a pool on whether the neighbors
complain or not.

Mike Lockwood and Max Gualtieri, 40% of Stupid Man Suit, and Bruce
Ackley, 25% of the ROVA saxophone quartet together make 100% of the
Lockwood/Ackley/Gualtieri trio. Lockwood is a really interesting
percussionist with a broad pallette. Guitarist Max Gualtieri has
very interesting pedal technique and is a sensitive improviser.
Ackley is the first quarter of ROVA, alphabetically if not
acronymically, and one of our favorite reed players.
