[1] Piano — Double Shak Attack w Cornelius Shinzen (深禅) Boots & Karl Young @ Viracocha, SF (4pm & 5pm today, Wed 12 June)


— Think pieces by Ornette Coleman and ROVA Saxophone Quartet are an unlikely match for shakuhachi & piano? So did we — until we tried it….

Standard and non-standard shakuhachi with 2 of the Bay Area's best shakuhachists and a mixed repertoire spanning traditional honkyoku (本曲) repertoire to Bay Area jazz giants.
