Get Cast in a Film for Your Demo Reel

From: Veleka G.

Actors,

The Actors Alliance is gearing up to shoot another film, and YOU have a chance to be cast in it and get a great scene for your demo reel and a great credit for your résumé!

Who needs a demo reel? Anyone who is serious about breaking into show business. A demo reel is as vital a tool for a professional actor as is an excellent head shot and a well-crafted résumé.

This film will be a class project, so you must be in class to take part. As with our previous films, you must make a commitment to stay the course to be considered for a key role in this production.

~ CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR CASTING ~

In the semester starting May 13, actors will continue studying audition and cold-reading techniques and learn the Enneagram System for faster and more accutate character development. In the fourth week of the course, auditions will be held, and the leading and supporting characters will be cast. Actors who are not cast but who would like to have their scenes be shot for their demo reels will be given this opportunity during or after principal photography.

~ PRODUCTION ~

In the final semester before principal photography, actors will study advanced techniques for acting on camera, focusing on movement and continuity, so they are prepared when we shoot your scenes on the weekends (and in some cases during the week). By the time you walk on set, you will be cool, collected, and ready for your close-up!

~ CLASS VENUES ~

• Metairie - Monday evenings - 7 p.m. to 10, starting May 13
• Baton Rouge - Wednesday evenings - 7 p.m. to 10, starting May 15
