ACTION ALERT: Cuts to Film Program

The House of Representatives is moving forward with their alternative tax plan narrowing in on cuts to certain tax programs including a 20% reduction in the film program in an attempt to plug a hole in next year's budget.

We need the legislature to understand that any changes made to the film program now will not result in savings until fiscal year 2015, so it in no way helps plug a hole in the 2014 budget. A reduction to the film tax incentive program is a misguided approach and will only cause problems instead of help in the long run. In actuality, it will become clear midyear that no savings are being derived and that midyear budget cuts will have to be made regardless.

We need your help to keep applying pressure to the House.

Contact your representative NOW and let them know that reducing the film program will not help the budget shortfall in the long run and the affect this will have on your industry by clicking here.
