It will soon be that time again! Don't forget our upcoming Meetup on August 6, 2013 at Nirvana! I'm pleased to announce that Veleka Gray and Shanda Quintal will be our guest speakers.

For those who don't know Velaka's work (is there anyone?!!!) here's her bio:

"Acting coach Veleka Gray, an accomplished stage and screen actress, starred in nine different roles in six soap operas, including "The Young & The Restless" and "As the World Turns." Her teachers were Bobby Lewis, founder of The Actors Studio, and Warren Robertson. Veleka is a vested member of both Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists and served fifteen years as a judge for the National Emmy Awards. She is a member of the Academy and was inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame in 2004. Since coming home to Louisiana, she has founded The Actors Alliance, a training center for local talent, to share her expertise and act as teacher, coach, and mentor to Louisiana's rising stars"

Shanda is CEO and founder of the Film Industry EXPO, the largest film industry conference and trade show in the Gulf South. This year's EXPO (September 7) will feature many wonderfully talented people as guest speakers and will feature auditions, agent meetings, panel discussions, demos, workshops, seminars and a trade show.
