Dear Ladies (and Gentlemen),
I had sent out an email a couple of months ago to let you know that Fremont Park was in the process of getting the "okay" from NCGA to start a women's golf league, and they have been approved!
Many of you had told me that you'd be interested in joining. Ladies of all skill levels and experience are welcome to join, and you do not have to have a handicap. I do not have a handicap. We will learn how to develop it as we're playing in the league.
Because this is an inaugural league, we can make it our own! I put the date of Sunday, March 17th (10:00 a.m.) on our calendar as the date for us to have an informal meeting to discuss the details. I also scheduled a golf meetup (for 11:00 a.m.) so that we can golf after the meeting (optional). That meetup will be a co-ed event so that everyone in our group can join us for golf.
Our Ladies League will give us the opportunity to make friends, have fun, as well as develop our skills. Although we will play most of our tournaments at Fremont Park, we will also have "away" games where we golf other courses, as well as possibly compete with other ladies' groups.
Belonging to our league will be prestigious and advantageous because of all the benefits we will receive as members of NCGA (Northern California Golf Association). Here's a link for you to check out the benefits:

For the time being, I'm calling our league the Fremont Park 9-Hole Ladies Club, and it's very affordable to join. The annual membership is $99, which includes:
- a membership to NCGA
- NCGA Blue Book
- $50 driving range card
- one free round of golf
- discounted green fees
- discounted short game
- 10% off merchandise
- 10% off golf lessons
- invitation to our monthly tournaments
The fee for the monthly tournaments is $25.00 per person, which includes a round of golf and a portion of the fee going towards food, beverage and/or prizes.
Prizes will be given out at the end of each tournament for fun categories such as closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, lowest number of putts, best overall score, or whatever we decide to come up with.
When we meet, we will discuss how many months you'd like the league to be and how many tournaments will be required of each of us. You do not have to play every month.

I hope many of you will come out and have fun with us! ANY women can join our ladies league--they do not have to be members of our meetup group.
