'Tis the Saison: A Tribute to the Farmhouse

Often dry, fruity, light and refreshing, sometimes rustic or spiced, the saison style of beer is tough to pin down, but easy to drink. Saisons have been produced for hundreds of years in Belgium. They were traditionally brewed in winter for harvest workers to drink in the warmer weather after a long day's work, hence the literal translation of the name: "season".

These days saison is an ever increasingly popular style due to freedom in brewers creativity. Whether they decide to dry hop, ferment with brettanomyces, spice, or add fruit there are truly limitless flavors found in a glass.

Join us for a celebration of the saison style. From Belgian classics to new school domestic offerings, Original Gravity will have a variety of choices on tap including:

• Firestone Walker - Opal

• Dogfish Head - Noble Rot

• Stillwater - Stateside

• Omnipollo/Stillwater - Remix: Premium

• Lost Abbey - Red Barn

• North Coast - Le Merle

• Saint Somewhere - E'te' Sans Fin

• Stone - Tiger Cub

Original Gravity will be providing a specially-selected flight covering a range of saisons, just for members. Find me for a sticker before ordering your flight.

Work came up. Gotta make money to pay for beer. If I get out and a beer is on my mind I may try to hang with the final stragglers
