Dear Beer Socialites -

Daylight Savings Time is fast approaching , (Sun. March 8th) and that means it's time to indulge in an outdoor beer festival. March 14, 2009 is the date for the kick off to beer festival season with the 14th Annual Fairfax Brewfest.

Since this is one of the first big beer events of the season the Fairfax Beer Fest will feature up to a dozen breweries presenting their best beers. The brewmasters pour the beers themselves, so patrons will be able to critique, ask questions, and swap beer stories with the experts.

The Festival continues its popular "TASTE 'EM AND RATE 'EM" competition where patrons get to taste and vote on their favorite beers. (medals will be awarded).

St Patrick's Day is the Brewfest theme so be sure to wear a little green. And with a little luck of the Irish we'll have great weather so folks can enjoy the outdoor patio and dining area. Great pub food will be served and music will be provided by the Irish Band Gas Men. Get ready for a Fairfax style "rite of spring" event.

Just drop in the address of the Fairfax Pavilion in the "going to field" and your set. The town of Fairfax is tiny - so most of the downtown bus stops are fine to get off.

Parking: The Safeway parking lots is huge and can accomodate a number of people. Also, look for parking on Center Rd., as many of the stores leading to the festival have large lots.

Join me and welcome in the Spring!
