What kind of writing do you enjoy the most?

These days, I enjoy doing snapshot memoirs (short pieces) and poetry that rhymes.

How long have you been writing or wanting to write?

I have been writing for fun & profit for most of my 60+ years. I earned my Bachelor's of Journalism at the University of Missouri. While self-employed as a freelance writer in Chicago, I was a charter/board member of the Independent Writers of Chicago before moving to California where I served on the board of the San Francisco Advertising Federation. In both markets, I had the privilege of working with and writing for many great clients, most of whom were on the Fortune 500 list of outstanding companies. I also was honored twice be invited to serve as a guest literature judge for the annual International Competition sponsored by the Society of Technical Communicators. In my 40's, I graduated from South Texas College of Law, passed the Texas bar, and applied my writing skills primarily to benefit non-profit organizations in their dealings with various governmental agencies.

Are ideas hard to come by or is it time you need?

It's neither time nor ideas I lack, but -- living in our much-loved 5th wheel trailer -- a comfortable space in which to work and, most of all, discipline. I am hoping BAWL will prove to be the incentive I need to just sit down and do it!

Hi! I am looking forward to meeting you at a BAWL meet-up event!
