Summer Craft Day

Details
Join Travis County's Balcones Canyonlands Preserve (BCP), as we celebrate the summer! We'll be hosting a summer-themed craft day on Saturday, July 19th, from 10am-1pm, at our Snowden house. Explore our trails and gardens as you meander through our story walk, then meet us inside for a variety of sun-themed crafts. As you craft, you'll have the opportunity to learn about some of the endangered species that call the BCP home! We’ll provide all the supplies—no experience necessary! This family-friendly event is designed to be engaging for sun-seekers of all ages.
This family-friendly, come-and-go event will include:
- Sun catchers & cyanotype sun prints
- Botanical monoprints with leaves and flowers from the preserve
- A story walk winding through our gardens and shady trails
- Fun facts about the amazing wildlife that call the BCP home
We’ll provide all the materials—no experience needed, just your curiosity and creativity! And yes, it’s all free!
You can find us at The Snowden Tract off FM 2769 near Anderson Mill. Just keep an eye out for the white BCP event sign as you get close. When you arrive, please follow the signs to overflow parking (and avoid parking near the dumpster).
