General Announcements:

BOF Sessions:

We are introducing Birds of a Feather Sessions (BOF) this month. BOF's sessions will start at the end of the presentations on both Monday and Tuesday and will last for 1 hour.

  • What is BOF? BOF is an informal gathering, where the attendees group together based on a shared interest and carry out discussions without any pre-planned agenda.
  • Who can lead a BOF session? Any member of New Tech
  • How do I lead a BOF session? During the opening of New Tech Boulder we will ask the audience if they have any BOF session ideas. As a community we will pick the  top 3 each month.
  • When do the BOF sessions begin? BOF sessions start 10 min. after New Tech ends
  • How long do BOF sessions last? 1 hour

Overflow room

Both August nights are already overcapacity, so if you can not make it please remove your hold, plus our amazing sponsor Silicon Flatirons reserved an overflow room. Thank You.
We will release another 50 tickets this weekend. Remember to get there early, seats are first come first serve, and the shitty seats are better then missing the night, but not the same as being in the main room. : )

Silicon Flatirons
CU-Boulder's Silicon Flatirons Center is a donor-supported entity which helps connect the fabric of the Front Range's software, Internet, and telecom entrepreneurship scene. SFC's objective is to help catalyze startups by connecting CU to the Mile High Tech emerging company community. In addition to the Meetup, SFC's Entrepreneurship Initiative includes the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, the Entrepreneurs Unplugged series, Crash Courses on entrepreneurship, and our annual March entrepreneurship conference. SFC additionally works closely with partners across the CU campus to present the New Venture Challenge. SFC is delighted to serve as a Meetup sponsor since 2007.

Boulder Digital Works at CU
Boulder Digital Works is dedicated to providing a space for people to learn how to learn. Digital technologies are changing everything - how we work and play, interact as individuals and groups, and how and what we learn. Yet, too many educational institutions have become museums of what we used to learn at the expense of why and how we learn. We decided to create a place that would do more than remember the past. We wanted to create a place that would lead into the future. We understood that it would have to be different. Boulder Digital Works is an alternative. We develop people who are generative, integrated thinkers, and can work collaboratively. Everything we do evolves from a foundation that combines creativity, technology, and business. People from different disciplines in industry and academe come here to ask questions, share ideas, and solve problems. BDW bridges the widening critical gap between academe and industry, between thinking and doing.

See you around town.
