While I was working a desk job, I craved opportunities in the week to literally 'rest my head'. I don't think I'm the only one who has wanted to just steal a few minutes with my head down on the desk - the next best thing to a nap in the typical office environment.
It is natural and healthy to allow the body to rest at moments throughout the day. People all around the world take naps in the afternoon, or simply set their work aside and relax.
The tiny muscles of the neck can become fatigued holding our heads in standard 'desk posture'. Pretty quickly, the mind begins to also fatigue.
Taking genuine breaks can nourish the creative imagination and refresh the body.
