• Tai Chi 2 - On-going until 2023

    Needs a location

    $200.00

    Aug 24 - Dec 28

Finish the year with a sense of accomplishment because you know all of Tai Chi 2! This very structured program makes it easy to commit the whole Tai Chi 2 routine to memory. It helps a lot to already know Tai Chi 1, but it’s not necessary because of how this system is designed.

Some people think Tai Chi 1 is too easy. This sequence will challenge your brain and keep it working in a balanced, harmonious way! More complex stepping than TC1 with multi-directional movements that make TC2 even more focused than TC1!

Officially known as Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention part 2, don’t let the name fool you. It’s not just for old people as everyone can benefit from stress-reducing, no-impact exercise for the mind and body.

$10 drop-ins welcome but to actually learn tai chi one has to commit. That’s why I’m offering the full series ++ the entire online video course as a complement for only $200! That’s four and half MONTHS of classes AND you get the online course to refer to forever! Purchase entire series options 1. Below on Meetup 2. in the BeachsideQigong.com online store 3. Or pay Lea in person or via Venmo or Zelle.

Tai Chi is an ancient slow motion mindbody therapy. Tai Chi strengthens the body, focuses the mind, calms the spirit and deepens our connection with ourselves and our world. Effective for both strong and weak, young and old, frail and hearty. Mindbody medicine at it’s best!

Tai Chi imparts numerous documented mind and body health benefits including: better sleep, improved immune functions, balance and fall prevention, clearer thoughts and focus, greater endurance, STRESS REDUCTION, reduced depression/anxiety, a sense of calm belonging in the world-who doesn’t want that?! These are just a few of the benefits these relaxing, gentle work outs give us, but there’s so much more to tai chi than meets the eye. The only way to really get all the benefits and feel better is to actually DO tai chi!

Lea Williamson is a professional tai chi instructor with over a decade of teaching experience, certified from the internationally acclaimed Tai Chi for Health Institute.

  • Traditional Temple Training: Qigong & Tai Chi

    Needs a location

    $10.00

    On-going Tuesdays and Thursdays
Such a joy to share this traditional qigong and tai chi set. This is Traditional Qigong & Tai Chi. To learn it, you have to show up. We begin with gentle warm ups and progress into the qigong classic DaMo 18 Muscle Tendon Changing Classic. DaMo is featured in the cover photo. This set uses breath work, bi-lateral isometric strengthening, stretching and balance work. A full body workout without strain. We then flow into qigong set WuXian or 5 Beasts at Play (not to be confused with 5 Animal Frolics), which flows like water but contains serious martial arts skills. After these to qigong sets, we explore BaMen Tai Chi & then Yuan Hu Chuan Tai Chi.

Much more complex than the modern Tai Chi 1 & Tai Chi 2 that I lead. Complex and rich in benefits, don’t be intimidated by the power of these practices. They are excellent for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-11:00, outside under the oaks in Gleason Park, Indian Harbor Beach. We meet on the north side of the lake by the gazebo and picnic tables. $10/class. NO sign up required. Just come to class. Pay at class via cash, Venmo or Zelle.

Certified Instructor Lea Williamson is an internationally recognized ShiFu (expert, just below Master) of Nei Gong Qigong who’s been practicing daily chi arts over 25 years.
