Re: [beararms-103] NRA is asking for our help!

I want to help.. I sign against bills a lot... I think you would get more people to take action if you would make it easier for them. Here's an example of a stop bailouts bill I signed.
All you need to do is type in your name, email, and zipcode. Then a message is sent to the right people to help block it. I passed your request "asking for help" on to others. But I didn't contact my state senator because of the way I would have too do it. Maybe I will later...

Dear U.S. Gun Club Members!

You may have received a request from the NRA to call your State Senator to request he or she to vote against AB962 which would make it a crime to privately sell or transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month. And SB585 which would ban the sale of guns and ammo at the Cow Palace.

We need to call and let our State Senators know we want them to vote NO on these two bills.

Here is a link to find to your state senator if you don't have the information handy:

http://www2.sdcounty.ca.gov/rov/Eng/Edistrict_query.asp

Enter your name and address to verify your senate district. Click on the State Senate district for contact information on your state senator. Ask your state senators to vote against AB962 and SB585.

Also at tonight's NRA Members Council meeting we will discuss the issue of the San Diego Unified School Board and their vote to stop the Juniior ROTC groups from practicing markmanship with pellet guns on school campuses. I am working on a form letter that will let all meeting attendees send a message to their School Board representative asking them to allow this program to continue. Sheriff candidate Jay La Seur is planning on attending this meeting. If you haven't met Jay La Seur, this is your chance to meet a great pro 2nd Amendment candidate for Sheriff.

For NRA meeting details: www.sdnra.com :click on "Meetings" near the top of the web page.

Thank you
