Labor Day Games at "The Landing" at Crystal City Shops

Let's play games on Labor Day at the Crystal City Shops in the open area called "The Landing."  We'll be starting at 2 pm, but feel free to wander in whenever you'd like. If everyone is already in the middle of games, please don't hesitate to pull up a chair and watch a game in progress.  It's a friendly group that is always happy to teach games to new people.  :)

The Landing is right at the Crystal City metro stop and, if you're driving, parking is free on the holiday.  See below for more details.

I'll bring a collection of party and board games, including Telestrations, Say Anything, Time's Up, Culture Pop, Cards Against Humanity, Shadow Hunters, Love Letter, Taboo, Loonacy, Bananagrams, Citadels, Stone Age, Discworld, Euphoria.... Please feel free to bring anything you might like to play.  This is a fun group of non-competitive people who play everything from silly party to hard-core strategy games.  First time gamers are very welcome!  It's a wonderful opportunity to learn some fun games with very nice people.

If you're taking the metro, exit at Crystal City and you can walk to The Landing without having to go outside.  When you come up the first set of escalators, turn right to enter the underground shops and then turn right at Rite Aide.  Continue straight and The Landing will be the large open seating area on your right, next to San Antonio Bar & Grill and Subway.

If you're driving, enter the garage for 1750 Crystal Drive on 18th Street and take a ticket.  (You'll need this to exit, but there's no charge).  Drive straight until you have to turn left.  Park near the elevators and take them up to Level S. "The Landing" will be the large open seating area in front of you when you exit the elevator.

If that parking garage is full, exit the garage and turn left on 18th and left again on Crystal Drive.  A second parking garage is located on Crystal Drive between 18th Street and 15th Street.

This is a link to a map of the Crystal City Shops:  The Landing is in the yellow section on the map near the San Antonio Bar & Grill and Subway.

I think I'm going to bring a couple of "big" games: Age Of Empires III and Frances Drake. I hope the tables can accommodate these. They do take up a lot of room.

Does anyone want to play Tales of the Arabian Nights? Newbies are welcome - I love to teach this game as well as play it - but be aware that it will run more than 3 hours, which is why I only bring it on days when we can get an early start.

The first time I played, I fell to my death off a flying horse statue thing and still had a blast. Game is highly recommended :).

I have no attention span for long games so I myself will be bringing Betrayal house on the hill, Takaido, and some other small games.
