Let's Spread some Christmas Cheer and Decorate some Trees!

During the holidays, here in Bend, there is a widespread practice of people randomly decorating trees along the hiking and ski trails. Many of the decorated trees contain inspiring notes left for all to read.

Let's meet at Pioneer Park at 1pm under the shelter. From there we will hike down towards the 1st St rapids river trail and along the way, randomly decorate unsuspecting trees.

After that, we've got options:  Brother Jon's Alehouse to get something to eat, and or a soak in the pool at McMenamins?

What to bring:  a small assortment of Xmas balls and decorations ~ don't forget the hooks, hot chocolate, treats to share, and Christmas cheer!  This event is open to ALL ages, the more the merrier.  Dog-friendly too!  Bathing suit and a towel if soaking.

As we are environmentally responsible elves, sometime in January, we'll go back and harvest the decorations (for the next year).

    Good Morning Everyone,

We have 12 MeetUp members (including guests) and 5 additional Facebook friends committed to attending for a total of 17. This will be a nice sized group. Yet, I encourage all to broadcast this event via Facebook and other means. Let's see if we can encourage more friends, co-workers and relatives to participate. The more the merrier. We had a GREAT time last week on our first outing and I look forward to enjoying more of the same.
