This workout is EVERY WEEK but I am only posting it once in a while as a reminder that it's going on as an evening workout.
The recommendation is to arrive before the workout begins at 6 pm. Those runners warming up usually run in the clockwise direction, which is opposite to the way the track is usually run. After the workout, those cooling down also run in the clockwise direction. The actual posted workout begins at 6 pm with runners lining up according to the pace groups shown on the workout below.

The track workouts are every Wednesday at 6 pm, year-round, rain or shine, at Lake Washington High School, 12033 NE 80th Street in Kirkland, WA.
Turnout ranges from only a handful of runners on the rainiest evenings to 50 or so on the good nights. All paces/levels are welcome (from elite to beginner). You will quickly find what group to hook up with by the pace you run.
It is advisable for people to warm-up before 6:00PM and conclude with a cool-down after the workout. John Sweeney is the coach, and goes over the night's workout before we start.
Workouts vary from shorter repeats of 200/400 meters, mid-range intervals such as 1000, 1200, or mile repeats, and sometimes longer tempo runs. We also often have specific workouts planned for those with upcoming marathons
There are those who choose to do their own workout but come for the camaraderie. You are out there for you, there is no need to feel like you have to keep up with the other runners. It is relaxed and non-competitive.
