Group Discussion 6-7pm. Silent Zazen Meditation 7-8:30pm

  • Trinity Episcopal Church

458 NW Broadway St, Bend, OR (map)

    44.055920 -121.318405

  • We practice in the St Helen Hall on the Trinity Episcopal Church campus. Our entry is on NW Broadway Ave between NW St. Helen Ave and NW Tumalo Ave. Look for the signs pointing up the ramped walkway to the courtyard entrance.
  • Our group meets at 6pm for discussion.  These discussions often arise from a reading or teaching recommended by Buddha Eye Temple in Eugene, OR, and these explorations of Buddhist topics in turn fuel our Zazen practice here in Bend. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Zen Buddhism and discuss with other practitioners how to integrate a meditation practice into your (daily) life or deepen your practice.

Starting at 7pm, we join meditators from the Bend Zen group.  You are welcome to join us for the discussion, the meditation or both.

The meditation format is as follows:

25 minutes of sitting meditation, followed by eight minutes of walking meditation - four minutes at a slow pace and four at a fast pace.

25 minutes of sitting meditation, followed by eight minutes of walking meditation - four minutes at a slow pace and four at a fast pace.

    25 minutes of sitting meditation.

Meditators should feel free to leave during or immediately after either of the two walking meditations, if they would rather not stay through the entire meditation session.  We welcome any and all for all or part.

    Palms together!
