What we're about
❖ ❖ Welcome to Berkeley Moto! ❖ ❖
Hello and thank you for visiting the Berkeley Moto! Please read this page in full to see if this is group is right for you!
❖ Who this meetup is for ❖
This group is for intermediate and experienced riders, who like to ride at the speed that is appropriate for a given situation. Speed demons will find our pace too slow and new riders may find the occasional highway segments and mountain roads challenging.
Our members tend to ride touring bikes and cruisers, but we have a smattering of standard, adventure and even a sport bikes. All motorcycle brands are welcome .
❖ A note for people who are just starting out ❖
If you’re new to group riding or motorcycling in general, I suggest you join my other meetup https://www.meetup.com/bay-area-beginner-motorcycle/ first.
❖ What you can expect on a typical ride ❖
We meet 30 minutes prior to the start of the ride for coffee, tea and socialization. We then discuss the day’s ride, go over safety details and take off.
Stops are typically between 50 - 75 minutes apart, depending on the types of roads we’re riding, but we’ll stop at the request of any rider if the need arises.
We usually have lunch at a predetermined location or pick an impromptu spot.
The trips back often involve taking the highway as people like to just get home faster. You can always leave any ride early.
