Hiking [11 kms] and Wine tasting - Day trip to Meißen ☀️ 🙌

Hey everyone!

We're organising a day trip to Meißen in Saxony - a beautiful town on the Elbe, famous for its elegant castle and excellent local wines. The historic streets lead you to Albrechtsburg, a stunning Gothic landmark, while nearby vineyards invite you to taste some of Saxony’s best wines. It’s a place full of charm, history, and flavor.

📍 Meeting point: Berlin Friedrichstraße, Platform 1 (RE 7 to Senftenberg)
🕣 Meeting time: 08:30 AM
🎫 Transportation: Regional trains and local transport (Deutschland ticket is necessary)

The hike is approximately 11 kms and it is rated as intermediate on Komoot. It is going to be a relaxed hike with regular breaks along the way.

During the hike we'll pass through one of the local wineries and stop there for wine tasting.

IMPORTANT: It’s gonna be sunny, but bring an umbrella just in case. Throw on some hiking shoes and comfy clothes, and you’re good to go!
