NY-based Civic Tech

From: Michael M.

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a story about civic technology organizations in the New York-area, similar to BetaNYC, so I thought I'd reach out here.

BetaNYC seems to be the largest group working toward these goals (Noel and Chris of which have graciously agreed to speak with me, thank you), however I'm also looking at the Participatory Politics Foundation, OpenPlans, Reinvent Albany and others in the space. I'm also looking for the 'next step' in the civic tech space, since these organizations seem to really be getting off the ground and making real progress.

If anyone has suggestions for similar organizations, or what that next step might be, I'd really appreciate them.

Thanks very much for your time,
Michael Mott
