What we’re about
Established in 2009, LCWBC Badminton Club was founded by Brian Ng, a Malaysian-born badminton player and experienced coach, who is also a Bexley resident and Bexley badminton team manager/coach for the London Youth Games.
The club already runs several weekly badminton sessions and coaching/training sessions in East and South-East London (Canary Wharf, Isle of Dogs, Greenwich and Rotherhithe) for adults and juniors - link below. LCWBC is now offering badminton sessions and coaching in Bexley.

Who should join?
This meetup group is for all badminton players, particularly those in the community in Bexley and the surrounding area in Dartford or Kent.
We offer weekly badminton sessions for like-minded badminton players to come and play in a competitive but social and relaxing environment. We limit the number of players for each session to avoid overcrowding. There is no need to find your own partner, but you are welcome to invite your friends or family members provided they are booked in as well. Feather shuttlecocks will be provided. Just bring your own racket and water.
We also offer coaching and training sessions for adults and juniors. These can be arranged separately with Brian Ng, who is a Level 2 Badminton England coach, especially players looking to learn the right techniques or improve their game play. Dedicated coaching and training sessions are offered in small groups (6-12 players) or personalised sessions (1-to-1, 2-to-1 or 3-to-1). LCWBC is an inclusive club, so we welcome players of all levels. The last thing we want is for anyone to feel intimidated or out of their depth at the club. It’s also important that all players can have an evening of reasonably competitive play. So we may allocate players to play on certain courts according to their playing level. As players improve, we will move them onto more competitive courts.
Our aim is to provide a platform for everyone, who shares the passion for badminton. So everyone can now enjoy badminton...

Session fee: £8 per person (plus 60p online payment fee), on a Pay-As-You-Go basis.
Once we have a consistent number of players each week, we may offer membership where you pay monthly so the fee per session works out cheaper for you. At the moment, only Pay-As-You-Go basis is available. Strictly pre-booking on this Meetup group only.

If you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP straightaway (go to 'Edit RSVP') and change to 'Not going' so that your place can be released to someone else. No need to contact Brian Ng or the event host.
LCWBC offers racket restringing service and sales of rackets and shuttlecocks. Please ask Brian Ng if you need further information.

Please stretch and warm up properly before and after our session to prevent injury. We are a social group, not insured and are not liable for any injury or loss that you may suffer as a result of your participation at any of our sessions (games sessions and training/coaching sessions).
There is a standard Meetup setting where your profile may show ‘unpaid’ status even though you have paid. If so, please ignore this standard setting. The main point is as long as you have paid your session fee, that’s fine.
We may occasionally take videos or images during the sessions. By joining our Meetup group and events, you grant LCWBC permission to take videos, images or audios and to use them in any media including, without limitation, in printed publications, presentations, promotional material or online, in their original format or edited or altered in any way.
