We hold a new members night for prospective members, where people interested in joining us can come and meet our current members, at the Garden House (160 Hagley Rd, Birmingham B16 9NX) on the first Wednesday of every month from 8.30PM. All welcome.

We are a well-established not-for-profit social and activities club based in Birmingham.
The club has a membership covering the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and South Staffordshire areas and have been going for over 60 years which gives the opportunity of making long term friendships.
We currently have around 300 members (not all on Meetup yet) aged mid-twenties to mid-sixties, but there are no age limits, everyone is welcome. Birmingham IVC full members arrange several events every month throughout West Midlands and further afield. There's a wide range to choose from: Pub Meetups, Meals Out, Live Music, Theatre, Cinema, Curry Nights, Country Walks, Cycling, Badminton and much more. A group of us have recently been on a holiday to Amsterdam to discover the many sides to this amazing city and more holidays are planned. Of course, if there's something particular you'd like to do, become a full member and host an event yourself!
Full membership has many benefits and is just £20 per year. But prospective members join for £10. It provides access to a national organisation. You can see and join events from other IVC groups around the country, such as great value holidays and weekends away, so you can extend your social life even further.
To become a member click "Join us". Prospective members will then receive joining instructions for paying your £10 fee. To join you will need to supply contact details (including name and address) to satisfy our insurers and place a photo on your profile (it doesn't have to be a personal one; just a way of distinguishing you from friends with a similar name). Please be assured you will not receive spam or junk mail. If this is your first time clicking “Join us” for Birmingham IVC you automatically receive an extra 3 months of membership for your first year.
"Penns Hall Hotel, now known as Ramada Birmingham Sutton Coldfield, has three claims to fame. It was used to film the exterior scenes in the famous (but dire) 'Crossroads' ITV series. The mid-80s editions, if you want to know. Secondly, the house was the mansion of Baron Dickinson Webster, wire manufacturer, whose firm made the first transatlantic cable in the 1850s.
The third claim to fame was that Birmingham IVC had their summer ball there in September 2016.
A good time was had by all. "
"On Saturday 17 September I feasted on the excellent hospitality of the Birmingham IVC at their Summer Ball held at the Ramada Hotel in Sutton Coldfield.
Following a delicious meal we embarked upon an energetic, non-stop dancing extravaganza unto the early hours"
