This is an annual event that I have had. This event has been popular and I have been requested to continue it, so will do so if people want to come. My son will be there, who will have just turned 16 the day before. We also have a new puppy---his birthday present, an English Cream Golden Retriever (white), so hopefully she will keep her costume on. It is really fun to see all the costumes, especially around the bonfire! :D Please leave some parking at top for those who have walking difficulties. Although kids are welcome, please be aware there will be alcohol. I make a pretty strong Halloween punch. LOL
I have this in MAOG and Single Parents/Divorced Adults group, so if you are in multiple groups, just sign up on one. Also please update your RSVP if it changes so that we know for count and for food/beverages.
Please feel free to review pictures from previous years. Our front room is also nice with walls of windows with a view of the valley and then out to the Baraboo Bluffs. It goes out to a deck with a hot tub. We will have the fussball and Halloween Tick-Tac-Toe. The back has a three-level waterfall feature, and later in the evening we will start a bonfire. You walk through the house from front to back (can see both waterfall and front view from living room) so it is all interconnected. This is kid friendly, and my son who will have just turned 16 will be there. You can park at the top of the drive or along the drive on the side, making sure to pull to the side so people can drive past easily. Because of all the rain this year, please don't park in the yard in front of the house as we have in the past. The ground is too wet there. Following is a picture of our 2012 Witches' Cauldron....
Bring a dish and a beverage....it would help A LOT if you will post what you will. (If you can, please remember I am allergic to onions. If you end up having it in something, let me know or post it....please.) I will have a "brew" for the group....alcoholic for adults and nonalcoholic for kids/NA drinkers. We have a grill available. If you overindulge, please stay overnight to be safe. You can also camp here as there is a lot of room/land.
Things to bring:
Yourself!!! (in costume if you can, but not required for entry.) ha ha
A dish to share (or you could sign up for staples such as Halloween plates, cups or napkins...it all helps.) --- see list of ideas below/please let us know what you will bring
Chair (we have some, but not enough)
....and then be ready to share in the fun and laughter of the evening.
Kathryn, Dwight, and Braden, 16 by then
IDEAS FOR WHAT YOU CAN BRING: We always need salad, cheese/sausage tray, veggie tray, fruit, appetizer/fun holiday food, meat (identify), buns, casserole or main dish, potato or macaroni dish, dessert, alcohol, soda , chips & dip/salsa A couple of bottles of Three Olives brand Cake Vodka (more than one person, of course.... :) (Three Olives Brand is much better tasting for the Halloween adult cauldron beverage than UV). If anybody would want to bring dry ice for the Witches' Cauldron (or pitch in for it), that would be great. It is pretty cool see. A big chunk of dry ice would be preferable but any would be welcome.
