Hey Everyone, Once again I am planning to do the AMC Bike Rally along with a few friends and I thought there might be some others in this group interested in doing it too, so I'm posting it here:
My goal is to do the 50 mile ride but I may do 27 miles instead. You don't have to decide til that day. Even if we don't ride together perhaps we can do some socializing together afterwards as a group. Happy Hour starts at 4pm, and it's a BYOB, so don't forget your refreshments ;-) I ride for Happy Hour!!!
Should be a blast. The cost of the ride is $5 and if you wish to stay for dinner it is $25 now, after May 1st it goes up to $30. If you are only doing the ride just show up with your $5.

on Saturday, June 16, 2012. It is a wonderful opportunity for cyclists of all levels to get together to begin the summer bike season. Come help us celebrate.
This year there will be rides of 15, 27, 50 and 67 miles on beautiful rolling terrain, and a 15 mile follow the leader ride. Helmets are required.
The schedule and ride departure times are below. Please try to arrive one half hour prior to your ride's scheduled departure time so you can check in.
10:00am 67 mile ride 10:30am 50 mile ride 11:30am 27 mile ride 12:30pm 15 mile ride 4:00pm Happy hour and socializing. (Showers are available) 5:30pm Dinner (chicken barbecue or vegetarian)
7:00 pm Bike Tours off the Beaten Track
Mike Barry talks about recent tours he has led and been on in the Czech Republic, Tuscany and a self-supported ride through northwestern Maine. Mike is an AMC Adventure Travel (Major Excursions) and Boston Chapter bike leader. He has also completed several self-supported-no car travel allowed tours with friends.
$25 ($30 after May 1) includes rides, showers, happy hour, dinner and speaker). Rides only— $5 (no registration, pay at the rally)

Note: Bad weather may cancel the rides, but the dinner and the speaker will occur, rain or shine. Since we have to make commitments to the caterer for the number of people who are going to attend, no refunds can be made.
