New Meetup: Up For a Challenge? 67 Mile Ride

Announcing a new Meetup for The Seattle Bicycling Meetup Group!

What: Up For a Challenge? 67 Mile Ride

When: Sunday, May 16,[masked]:00 AM

Where:
Seward Park
4900 - 5014 Lake Washington Blvd S
Seattle , WA 98118

Quite a few of the members are training for event rides and are looking to do longer routes. This ride encompasses a good deal of the 2009 Livetstrong Challenge 70 mile route with a few twists. We'll start at Seward Park in Renton, ride up to and around Mercer Island and then down the east side of the lake. We'll continue east and ride the Tiger Mountain loop. I think a lunch stop is warranted in Issaquah. Heading back west, we'll avoid the "Devil Hill" from the Challenge and make our way to the lake. We'll ride around the south end of the lake and back up to Seward Park. I'll try and ride the route on the motorcycle between now and the 16th to check for hazards and ride-ability. For now, here is a map of the route as it stands today:
