Monday Gravel Ride Congress to Yarnell via Stanton

Short ride full of Arizona history. Park behind the Shell gas station at the intersection of 89 and 71 in Congress. We'll take highway 89 for a short way until we get to Stanton Rd (on our right). Stanton Road is all gravel and will take us all the way to Yarnell but we make a detour to visit the mining town of Stanton. The original buildings still exist and are used now for the campers staying in the area (many that are still looking for gold!). Once we reach Yarnell, we will take 89 back to our cars on the fun, windy, downhill pavement. The total is 22 miles and 2300' of climbing (so with all that downhill, be prepared for some serious climbing on the way to Yarnell).
