Hayward Community Walkabout Tour - Hesperian Boulevard/Chabot College

JOIN US ON A WALKABOUT TOUR TO HELP SHAPE FUTURE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WALKING AND BIKING IN HAYWARD The City of Hayward is working to create a new vision for walking and biking for all residents, businesses, and visitors! To be prepared for changing mobility needs, the City recently launched a year-long effort to create a new plan for walking and biking in Hayward. During the initial community events, you told us where we should be make improvements to walking and biking across the City. You identified critical corridors and intersections in Downtown and along Mission Boulevard, A Street, D Street, Tennyson Road, and Hesperian Boulevard. Help us take a closer look at some of these locations by joining us for our walkabout tour along Hesperian Boulevard near Chabot College on Thursday, January 24th at 5:30 PM. We are looking forward to hearing your ideas about how to make biking and walking better for all schools and destinations along and adjacent to Hesperian Boulevard. Walkabouts provide an opportunity anyone who works, plays, or lives in these areas to visit potential project sites and give input about the future of mobility in each area. We will discuss issues and opportunities at each location in greater detail and discuss potential solutions for project recommendations. We are especially interested in hearing from Chabot College students and faculty, parents of students at Anthony W. Ochoa Middle School, Eden Gardens Elementary School, local community members, and anyone else uses this important corridor. To make sure the updated Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan reflects the needs of all Hayward residents, we need your input! We will use your feedback to support future grant applications and the development of the final Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update. If you can't attend in-person, look for future ways to get involved at: https://hayward-ca.gov/bikewalkhayward
