Please tell us a bit about your current and historical work history.

I graduated with a B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Colorado State University (CSU Fort Collins) in May 2014. I worked for The Dow Chemical Company as an Engineering Co-Op throughout my studies at CSU. I worked in Environmental, Health and Safety at Houston Area Operations in Deer Park, Texas, I worked in Process Engineering at a Dow Agro Science facility in Midland, Michigan, and I worked with Research and Development at Dow Water and Process Solutions in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During the summer of 2013, I worked with Product Development as a summer engineering intern at Terumo BCT. I then started graduate school at CU Boulder as a Mechanical Engineering graduate student in Fall 2014. I am a Research Assistant at Dr. Ferguson's Biomechanics and Biomimetics Laboratory. I am studying the structure-function relationships of the human ocular lens and how to improve the accommodating intraocular lens prosthetic.
