Many of us are feeling under attack, by society at large as well as LGBT Institutions designed to serve our needs.
Many of us realize the legacy of Stonewall is in rebellious acts of courage, demanding our rights and equal status in the eyes of society. It means, we suffer from biphobia and bi-erasure, and that the social disparities that impact are lives are too great to ignore. This is not a time for a parade.
So bring your protest signs and banners of visibility... bring your friends to an old fashioned people's march, where we highlight the most marginalized members of our community -- in our case, black bisexual trans women.
We MARCH for those who are overlooked promotion or forced out of their jobs.
We MARCH for an end to biphobia and transphobia directed at our community of non-conformists, as is our right.
We MARCH to highlight the plight of our people suffering from mental stress and social anxiety at rates much higher than our L&G cousins.
We MARCH as we believe Brenda Howard would do today.
PRIDE IS POLITICAL!
NO POLITICIANS in this MARCH
NO COPS in this MARCH
NO CORPORATIONS in this MARCH
NO BS in this MARCH
But there will likely be glitter, polished nails, high heeled boots, and a bit of skin showing...
We will not be silenced.
